CP spectacles

Stable and lightweight material for optical frames.

CP spectacles are widely used in optical collections in the mid-range and lower segments. The material is known for its stability, comfort and good value for money.

Sturdy, stable and suitable for optics

CP stands for cellulose propionate, a thermoplastic material made by combining cellulose with propionic acid and other substances. The result is a sturdy and stable frame material.

CP is hypoallergenic and therefore suitable for people with sensitive skin. The material is widely used in optical glasses because lenses are relatively easy to replace with minimal adjustments to the frame.

CP frames are harder than acetate, which provides greater stability and reduces the risk of warping. In addition, CP glasses age less quickly and retain their colour longer. In thin frame designs, a CP frame can be up to 30% lighter than acetate.

What makes CP practical for your collection?

CP is often used in the mid-range segment. The material offers stability and quality for optical applications. Please note that major adjustments to the frame are not possible after production due to the hardness of the material.
